How skilful is their technique ! The exquisite refinement of their arrangements with their learned setting, their expressive drawing and their joyful colours, don&rsquo;t remove the sensitiveness that give them the very quivering of life and fresh air of a morning in spring<\/em> <em>when the cherry trees are in blossom<\/em>! <\/span><em><span style=\"color: #800000;\">We wouldn&rsquo;t know what to choose in this ensemble where each painting attracts, arrests and charms the eye.\u00a0\u00bb<\/span> <\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\">Lettres et Arts<\/span><\/span>, Paris 1948<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\">\u00ab\u00a0<em><strong>Nguy\u1ec5n Sao <\/strong>is an \u00ab\u00a0impressionist\u00a0\u00bb by instinct, that the discipline of the prestigious Fine-Arts and Decorative-Arts Schools in Paris where he was educated, moderates&#8230; In his manner,\u00a0<strong>Nguy\u1ec5n Sao<\/strong> is a poet. Thanks to his profound sensibility, impressionism is only for him a way to express\u00a0what emerges from the tradition of the past but also from the present time influence&#8230; When contemplating <strong>Nguy\u1ec5n Sao<\/strong>&lsquo;s paintings, and discovering such delicate and natural feelings, we are so moved by their pure expression, that it doesn&rsquo;t seem that of one talent. But it is precisely this purity which is his trait. <strong>Nguy\u1ec5n Sao<\/strong> was a born artist<\/em>.\u00a0\u00bb<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Le Van Xa, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">La Gazette<\/span>, Sa\u00efgon 1957<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">\u00ab\u00a0<em>We will love what is \u00ab\u00a0classic\u00a0\u00bb, even in the calculated boldness of an incredibly rich palette, daring brightful tints, but knowing too how to shade them in a landscape, according to time and season&#8230; <strong>Nguy\u1ec5n Sao&rsquo;<\/strong>s talent is quite certain to allow itself no artifice. There is no yielding to flashy style in these researches showing great details and which are translated by the diversity of colours and lights..<strong>.<\/strong>\u00ab\u00a0<\/em><em><br \/>\n<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Pierre Faucon, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Journal d&rsquo;Extr\u00eame-Orient<\/span>, Sa\u00efgon 1959<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\">\u00ab\u00a0&#8230; <em>This style is quite unusual here, and among groups of various artists, it may surprise or displease because it&rsquo;s so different, high in tones, with some kind of tragic elaborated skies in forms and colours<\/em><em>&#8230;<\/em>\u00ab\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Marc Planchon, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Journal d&rsquo;Extr\u00eame-Orient<\/span>, Sa\u00efgon 1960<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">\u00ab\u00a0<em>We have to notice in this artist, an evolution in comparison with his works before 1960 or 1961. He transforms his matter in simplifying it : in fact he gives up shaded tones to follow the present trend of pure colours and adopts <\/em><em>geometric forms\u00a0 while reducing in drawing all that isn&rsquo;t necessary for its character&#8230; <\/em><em>\u00ab\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Marc Planchon, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Journal d&rsquo;Extr\u00eame-Orient,<\/span> Sa\u00efgon 1962<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\">\u00ab\u00a0<em>To some journalists who payed him a visit in his workshop last Sunday, <strong>Nguy\u1ec5n Sao<\/strong> declared that he was mainly concerned with the intensity of colours, the harmony of volumes and the stylization of drawing&#8230; The intensity of colours is revealed in gouaches, specially<\/em> <em>in<\/em> <strong><em>Twilight on the market<\/em><\/strong>, <em>realized with warm colours. Among oil paintings, we notice some works painted with a light touch, as <strong>Concert of music<\/strong>, where tints of grey-blue, yellow-pink, light-pink, pink-purple are in complete harmony with the blurred figures. The entire work is vaporous&#8230;\u00a0\u00bb.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>G\u00e9o Nam, <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Vi\u00eat-Nam presse<\/span>, Sa\u00efgon 1963<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">\u00ab\u00a0<em>In his paintings,<\/em> <em><strong>Nguy\u1ec5n Sao\u00a0<\/strong> expresses the sensibility of two countries he belongs to : the land of his origin, Vi\u00eat-Nam, and the one where he lives by periods, France. The mark of his work is impressionism&#8230; He knows all about our skies and landscapes, but it is Vi\u00eat-Nam he wishes to talk about..\u00a0\u00bb<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Maison de la Culture, Poitiers 1974<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\">\u00ab\u00a0<em>An important exhibition of <strong>Nguy\u1ec5n Sao<\/strong>&lsquo;s silk and lacquer paintings, showing the technique and the original Asian process, enhanced by the refinement, the subjectivity achieved by this Vietnamese artist<strong>&#8230;<\/strong><\/em> <em>He transposes aesthetic nudes, underlining the model&rsquo;s beauty according to the Greco-roman canon. But for some years, <strong>Nguy\u1ec5n Sao<\/strong> has evolved towards expressionnism with a light, discreet touch of cubism. Compositions, portraits and<\/em> <em>sceneries are displayed in<\/em> <em>his exhibition<\/em>\u00ab\u00a0.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Galerie Tkim Quynh, Paris 1978<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">\u00ab\u00a0&#8230; <strong><em>Nguy\u1ec5n Sao <\/em><\/strong><em>i<\/em><em>sn&rsquo;t unknown in the Spa city. <\/em><em>Last season,<\/em> <em>he gained the amateurs&rsquo; hearts with his first exhibition in our Caldagu\u00e9s region&#8230; He is coming back this year, with Vi\u00eat-Nam again as a source of inspiration.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><em>Native of this country, he has never made his mind to forget his homeland he paints in a very original manner.
